The Yamaha LL-TA TransAcoustic is a high-end, all-solid wood dreadnought guitar (often described as a “rounded” or “jumbo” dreadnought) that features innovative technology allowing it to produce, reverb and chorus effects acoustically without needing an amplifier or external effects pedals. It is part of Yamaha’s premium L-Series and is designed to simulate the immersive experience of playing in a lively, reverberant room.
Key Features & Technology
* TransAcoustic Technology: An internal actuator (a small transducer) is attached to the back inner surface of the guitar. When the strings vibrate, this actuator vibrates in response, creating authentic, rich reverb and chorus sounds that resonate inside the guitar body.
* Onboard Controls: The guitar features three simple, unobtrusive knobs: one for Chorus, one for Reverb (Room/Hall), and a master TA Switch/Line Out Volume.
* Power Source: The system is powered by two AA batteries.
* Electronics: While designed to be used unplugged, it also includes a System70 SRT Piezo Pickup, allowing it to function as a high-quality electro-acoustic guitar for live performances.
